Saving Energy and Water Through Joint Efforts
Due to the increased strain on the national electricity grid and the water shortages caused by the prolonged heatwave, Balatontourist is joining the sector-wide initiative promoting the responsible use of energy and water.
In line with the consumption-reduction appeal issued by the Hungarian Camping Association, we kindly ask our guests to pay particular attention to the conscious and economical use of electricity and drinking water at our campsites.
What can we do together?
We kindly ask our guests to switch off the air-conditioning and any electrical appliances that are not needed when leaving their accommodation for a longer period.
Where possible, activities involving higher electricity consumption should be scheduled outside the evening peak period between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
We also ask our guests to avoid unnecessary use of drinking water, not to leave water running needlessly, and to use only as much water as is genuinely required.
Responsible use of resources is a shared responsibility
Camping tourism has always been closely connected to nature, respect for natural values and an environmentally conscious approach. The responsible use of electricity and drinking water is also an important part of this mindset.
For Balatontourist, it is of particular importance that, alongside ensuring the comfort of our guests, we also pay close attention to protecting our natural resources. We therefore count on the cooperation of our guests, as many small and conscious decisions can together result in significant savings.
We thank our guests for their understanding, cooperation and responsible attitude, which contribute to the preservation of our natural resources and to maintaining a safe and uninterrupted electricity supply.
